CANADA IN THE 2016 WORLD SHOGI LEAGUE

Canada has two teams: a team of Toronto-based players in Class B (division two), and a team of Vancouver-based players in Class D (division four).

REGISTRATION (NOW CLOSED FOR 2016)

Canada has been invited to take part in this inaugural team competition, which will be played online at 81dojo.com throughout 2016. Each team will consist of at least three players, and three of the team’s members will play one game every month.

Eligibility requirements for players are:

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, and
  • a commitment to complete all of your matches (between 9-12) throughout 2016.

Matches will be played online at 81dojo.com. The date/time of the games will be agreed between the two teams/players.

We encourage all interested players, regardless of strength, to consider joining for 2017. There will be a wide range of skill levels; don’t be shy about participating if you are not a strong player! If you are interested, please let us know.
